    Hello everyone,

    we used the AR Sandbox and it was a huge success, the students loved it. To create a AR Sandbox based learning station, we would like to know if you can change
    a) the distance between the lines
    b) the coloring of the height (I know that you can turn it off, but for example can i have the green spectrum stretched over 10 height lines?)

    Merry Christmas everyone!

    I wrote some modifications (subsequently tweaked by Oliver) to change the contour spacing and enable turning them on an off. https://arsandbox.ucdavis.edu/forums/topic/toggle-contour-lines-via-control-pipe/

    You can also change the colour map and update the named pipe. I created a Excel spread sheet for generating colour maps. You can also change the vertical position of the height colour map if that is use full. I will stick some examples on https://github.com/Peteraguy/ARSandBox

    Contour line spacing and display is covered in this post https://arsandbox.ucdavis.edu/forums/topic/toggle-contour-lines-via-control-pipe/

    Colour map changes and map base height can be changed through named pipes. I have put a colour map generator and some examples here https://github.com/Peteraguy/ARSandBox

    A modification to control contour line spacing and display can be found here https://arsandbox.ucdavis.edu/forums/topic/toggle-contour-lines-via-control-pipe/

    Colour maps can be changed through a named pipe as can the base height. Here are some of the bits I have created in the past https://github.com/Peteraguy/ARSandBox

    Hey paguy,

    thank you very much for trying to help me. Unfortunately i am 100% clueless when it comes to coding. I copied the code Oliver posted and put it in line 1250 of the Sandbox.cpp file, so it looks like this starting with } in line 1250

    }
    else if(isToken(tokens[0],"useContourLines"))
      {
      if(tokens.size()==2)
        {
        /* Parse the command parameter: */
        bool useContourLines=isToken(tokens[1],"on");

    and so on. Is there anything else i need to consider or do? I assume i have to copy files from your github too? I would really appreciate, if you could give me a step by step guide if that’s not too much trouble, because right now I don’t get it at all.
    Thanks in advance,

    Colin
