    Hello,

My name is Nolan, I am a Geology student at Santa Barbara City College. I built an AR Sandbox for the Geology Department here about six months ago. It ended up attracting the attention of JPL, and is going to be a display at their open house this weekend, where I will be running the sandbox. I would like to print something out to attach to the sandbox saying who the sandbox was developed by. What would be the best way to go about doing this?

    Thank you for your time,

    Nolan

That’s great! We usually recommend using a paragraph like this:

The Augmented Reality (AR) Sandbox was developed by the UC Davis W.M. Keck Center for Active Visualization in the Earth Sciences (KeckCAVES, http://www.keckcaves.org), as part of an informal science education project funded by the National Science Foundation under grant DRL 11-14663. More information about the AR Sandbox can be found at http://idav.ucdavis.edu/~okreylos/ResDev/SARndbox.

If you happen to manage to take some pictures while exhibiting your AR Sandbox, I’d be happy to add them to my list of external installations.

    EXCELLENT!!!!!

Thank you so much for your expedient reply. I will be sure to take pictures. I’ll also take more when we have our final setup with our new computer and projector. I had to build it with spare equipment from our IT department, but we recieved a grant to fund a new computer and projector. So, ill post pictures when its all finished!

    Thanks

    Nolan

Awesome PR – I’ll be using it too and getting you some pictures. We’re in process of building one for the Children’s Museum in Skagit County (http://www.skagitchildrensmuseum.net/). I guess it will be the only one in the area, so they are going to be sending people up from the Seattle area (hour or so South of us). Would love to have this info posted with it. Thanks!
