I have tried to fix my Camera Space Plane equation within the BoxLayout.txt and keep getting blue everywhere except where I really pile up the sand. I’ve done this about 3 times today, repeated calibration steps with no success.

Do you have any suggestions for a work around?

hopefully you can see the image with one of these links…

You should be able to manually edit the BoxLayout.txt to change the depth.

My BoxLayout.txt was not being read until I put it in the correct location I sourced from here:
    http://lakeviz.org/forums/topic/proper-location-of-boxlayout-txt/

In the video I followed, the initial depth was set to the height of a piece of cardboard placed over the top, later the depth was edited to change the depth to the level of the sand.
It is explained in this video about 8 minutes in

I would assume you could modify the depth at the top to move your base plan down a bit.
    Hope that helps.

    Mitch,

    Thank you sir.

Where exactly would I store the BoxLayout.txt?

    &

Do I need to “make install” every time I modify the file?

    Read this thread http://lakeviz.org/forums/topic/proper-location-of-boxlayout-txt/
It explains where to put BoxLayout.txt it depends on how you have set up your install.
And no you don’t need to make install everytime just move the file and restart the Sandbox, this is great as you can then just edit the first line to change your depth restart the sandbox and the depth should move.
I am by no means an expert I just happened to do the config yesterday and seemed to be something that could solve your problem.

If you followed the installation instructions, your BoxLayout.txt file will be in ~/src/SARndbox-1.5-001/etc/SARndbox-1.5/

After editing the file, restarting the SARndbox application will read the changes.

    Did you resolve your issue?
