    Hello,

I wanted to know if it was possible to load an image file of a map (or a XML from OSM) as a background in the “Show DEM” mode when you can try to reproduce the elevation.

    Cheers.

Ok thank you for your answer.
I have a two other questions if you don’t mind.

Does the program send a signal or something when the map is recreated perfectly in the Show DEM mode ?
Is it possible to change the margin of error when recreating a map based on a DEM to make it easier ?

    Cheers

The program does not really detect whether the surface matches the DEM. It simply applies the distance color map.

The color map’s central white band can be made wider using the -dds command line parameter.

Dr Kreylos, thanks for a wonderful piece of software. Our children spends hours on it.

If someone was to take a stab at developing this feature request that would display an image overlay, and also for drawing polygons, circles, lines, how would you best approach it?

I would be willing to contribute towards such an effort.
