Looking to build with an RX480 with Ubuntu 16.04 as that’s whats got the drivers for the RX480 that support OpenGL

Processor and RAM should be sufficient (it’s my gaming rig) and I’ll have to go through the pain of setting up a dual boot system.

I’ve bought an NEC NP600 (not short throw, I assume this means I need to move it higher up) and a kinect 1414 as I’d heard it was easier to configure.

Anything I’ve missed or will any of this not work? Aware the NEC projector is not the best in the world for this, but I’m trying to keep the budget low. If it can simulate a volcano, I’ll be a happy man – as will my son & his class.

I may try this first: https://github.com/thomwolf/Magic-Sand/releases/tag/1.1 as it works(?) under windows and will probably run off my laptop. It’d be nice to see a windows version with the volcano and rain working if one exists!
